End of the week and weekend
I could never make a living as a blogger, I just do not have it in me to post every day. Oh well.
We survived the rest of the week and the weekend. Friday was date night and we went to go see Jane Eyre. I must preface this with the note that Jane Eyre is my favorite book and I practically have it memorized. The actors did a great job, the costuming was great and the singing was spot on, sadly, I did not care for the script. So much was left out and things were changed. And the whole point of the story (IMHO), Rochester's redemption and humility was not really touched on. And I will leave it there.
Saturday our church had a Family Fun Day, Littlest Monster and my little Drama Queen had a blast. They particularly liked the bouncy house. A lot of the activities were science based and they had a blast with those as well.
Yesterday I took my little Drama Queen to American Girl so I could have my Kirsten cleaned and have her hair redone. She was very good and I let her pick on small thing. She picked a birthday set that had a crown. I discovered a few things that I wished they'd had when I was little. I may treat myself and get a few of them just for the fun of it. Who knows when Drama Queen gets older she may like the same things as I do.
I'm also thinking it is time to get some more Legos, the kids are fighting over pieces.
