Finishing Padme

Well after having not touched the Preggers Padme for a while I pulled it out on Saturday for a joint costuming shin dig that we had for the DSG.  I re-drew the front waist line and added a seam across the back which helped the whole thing flow right over my rump. :)  All in all it looks fabulous and is just about ready for me to cut from the final fabric.  My only hold up right now is getting the collar cut and shaped, which I'm hoping won't take me more than an hour or two give or take depending on how much sewing the kids will let me do.  Plus I've done a full mock-up of yet another officer's uniform, this time in red wool/rayon blend for an Ysanne Isard costume.  It's gonna look awesome.

In other news I had another prenatal visit with my doc today.  Got my ultrasound scheduled for July 17th so I should know what I'm having in time for Comic Con :)

Speaking of Comic Con I'm all giddy and excited.  The hubby and I planned our side trip up to LA for that Friday morning.  The idea is to meet some friends for breakfast up there then wander the garment district for the rest of the morning.  After that we'll head back to SD and the Con by around 2 or 3.  I'm so hopped up I can't stop getting all giddy when I think about it.
