I actually didn't like Lancelot in this episode. I didn't like the fact that it seemed he only died for Gwen and not Camelot and Merlin and Arthur. I know everyone else loved that scene and thinks he's a great actor but i don't. I find him rather boring. I began to like Lancelot in series 3 but not this series so far. Sorry if that offends you but I just disagree with most of the fandom when it comes to Lancelot and G/L
( ... )
Yeah, I guess I took it differently the reason why Lancelot sacrificed himself. It was for Gwen, but I think it was also what Merlin said to him. And I don't know, after that experience in the woods, I felt he went to death with a wonder and appreciation about the gate that led to the spirit world.
My gut reaction when Gwen said that was that's not true. She taught him it more than him teaching her. But I do think you're right in that watching him behave the way he does now with the people she has learned from his fairer rule than Uther's.
Morgana. I don't get that either and you're right there is an easier way out it seems. It's just hard to buy her this way because there's no conflict after years of friendship.
