Lots of shiny new things with possible Merlin new ep spoilers plus might be long so I'll put it all behind the cut!
A new layout/banner/background! I loved my old one and it's always exciting and a bit sad at the same time for me to change a layout, but I love this one and so hope you guys do too. I finally decided to go with something a bit more neutral than the pink/purple flowers I originally wanted because I found this fantastic layout maker and I wanted a banner that wouldn't be too flowery.
So fantastic layout by
estiloamor, who by the way is super nice when you ask for help. The gorgeous banner which was kindly created for me because I won it in an auction is by the so talented and equally nice
railise! Look, it's Mulder/Scully Arthur/Gwen and Doctor/River, some of my current favorites and older favorites, perfect! And the beautiful font, ah! She also did the new shiny banner for my writer's journal too, check out all the knights, the AG greatness, and of course Merlin/Arthur friendship! And the background, which is so lovely and she has some awesome ones, is by
77words! So yay, thanks to these lovely artists my lj looks pretty in a new unique way I think!
Writing: Part II of my Merlin Story "Queen of Hearts" is up here:
Queen of Hearts: Fathomless Okay and SPOILER warning, if you haven't seen the new ep of Merlin, please be cautious. I say a few spoilers here because I watched it this morning, yay! I watched it early this time!
**********
I pretty much loved it! The Arthur/Uther scene killed me. That was SO good. All the scenes that showed Arthur as a caring person, I just really loved. His relationship with Merlin was so strong in this one. Way better than how last season started. His scene with Guinevere, though short, that was amazing. What those two can convey in such little time, they're even on the song now, beautiful. Some parts were so dramatic they almost made me laugh. But that's what I love about Merlin. You get a dramatic opener and then you have the funniest scenes after the song with Merlin in the kitchen and the knights nabbing chicken. Love it. Oh and the knights, oh the knights, Percival, with all the kids in his arms, oh my gosh! Lancelot's genuine friendship with Merlin, ah. Gwaine chomping on fruit, HA! Elyan helping Percival, ah. Oh I love our knights! Morgana, so much better this season. Katie is playing it more multi faceted and I really appreciate that.
And the promo for next week, can't wait. Looking foward to what's to come. This season, minus Arthur being too trusting of Agravaine and us as an audience not seeing strongly enough why, because of the missed year, is off to a fantastic start!!!!
Happy Merlin Weekend that's coming to an end! Hugs!
