How many times has she asked him to knock, to respect her space and privacy? That this is her shuttle. That until she's behind on payments she expects it to be treated like anyone else's home.
He stands outside her door and brings his hand up to knock. It wouldn't kill him to... I mean, she's got a right to... Nah. What would be the fun in that?
