Adding fics to Ao3 and (possibly) fanfic.net
I've started adding my fics to Ao3. It's been slow because I haven't had the original Word docs and it's a real process to go from the webpage to plain text and then add italics and such back in. Last night, I found a cd full of the original Word docs for a lot of my Voyager and Buffy/Angel fics. And the... light dawned.... I remembered my old computer tower is sitting in the closet and it still works.
I used it until I got my first laptop in May 2006, so it should - knock on wood - have the Word docs for ever fic I wrote up to that point. I'm going to hook it up on my day off and take a look. Anything after 2006, there has to be a cd or two hiding in my house somewhere with them on it because I was paranoid about backing things up. My goal is to try to get everything in the cloud.
Here's my question for anybody out there still reading LJ posts.... should I bother with fanfic.net? I know there may be readers who use it exclusively, but omg, it's a pain in the ass to work with!
I've posted 1 Voyager fic and 1 Buffy fic so far, and I wish I could find a Starsky & Hutch fic to post next. I'm going to try to post them on a regular basis, no promises, there's a lot of fics and you know I'm a lazy girl.
Any ideas or opinions just throw them at me.
