My laptop is fixed!
The Geek Squad guy looked at my computer tonight and told me that I was missing the driver for my wireless card. I ran home and got on mom's laptop and downloaded it and bingo! I'm back on the net! *hugs driver*
If only I had known that before I reinstalled Windows. Now I get to reinstall all my programs. As my friend mollythedog used to say in these situations, "le sigh..."
Now I need to set my system to not download Windows updates automatically...
