for the first time in forever-- I do a MEME!!
"First Lines":
Rules: list the first lines of your last 20 stories. See if there are any patterns. Then tag your favorite authors.

2. "I can't believe you guys haven't taken the test," Finn said, flabbergasted. {Unposted, untitled SW with HP fusion}
3. "A truth... What's your fondest memory?" {"It Was Awesome", SW, reydar}

7. "No?" I responded, raising my eyebrows in what was most certainly a dignified manner. {"Sweet Perfume", Laby}

9. I received an FTL yesterday from someone I'd never heard of. {"The Forgotten", JA}

Full disclosure, these aren't *technically* my most recent (I just looked for stuff dated 2017, 2016, or late 2015), and it's only fanfic. I have original stuff, too, but chose to only use fic. Also I chose to only put up 10 ;D
So it looks like half of my recent fics start with dialogue, which is no surprise. I'm a dialogue-heavy writer.
The majority is written in the past tense. The vast majority is third person. I feel like I really have to know a character to write in first person; I'm only comfortable doing it with three characters. "To Be Felt" was first person from *Jareth's* POV and was well-received by the community when I asked for concrit. I don't think I'll write as him again, though. He's not one of the three. "Eruption" was written from the perspective of an OC. I didn't like the story then and I don't like it now.
