Relaxed Weekend
Friday night I came home after work and went for a nice run, just under 4 miles. That was the start of *sigh* my nice weekend. Tonight is the close of a relaxing and, in a sense, thereputic weekend. I guess there isn't something specific that made it so nice. I did normal things such as grocery shopping, laundry, yard work and spending time with my family.
Saturday the weather was just beautiful. The sun was out and I spent a couple hours outside cleaning up the flower beds and dreaming of things i could plant, where i could put them and getting my fingers crusted in mud. To a normal person this might not sound like a great time, however I have been wound up tighter then a knotted shoe lace. I haven't spend time relaxing with myself in well over a month and it was much needed.
Saturday night Lyndsey and I went out for a nice dinner (smiles, wine and feelings of love included). Afterwards we met some close friends for drinks and did some catching up. Again simple, but needed more than ever for me...and possibly Lyndsey. Primariy we were out to celebrate her birthday and the publishing of one of her short stories. It was nice a great night.
Today, sunday, we went to breakfast and then drove out to my parents house where I napped on the couch. I didn't run at all this weekend and I feel great about that. It even relaxes me to an extent.
I love Lyndsey. She really is an amazing girlfriend and the runners legs that she's developing are pretty damn hot too!
