Helping A Friend
I have a pretty good friend that works in my dept, whom I met through work. He’s a good guy, smart, creative and I think he’s really good at whatever he does. For a while he’s been kinda caught in a position that he liked when he took it, but grew out of really soon. With that he became bored with his work and the next step in his career path required him to travel a lot more then he was interested in.
So, I came across an opportunity on a project I was working on & I recommended him for the position. This was about a month ago and just today my friend was offered the position. Maybe this entry is selfish, of course this is my journal, but it felt really good helping him. He walked over to my desk to tell me about the job with a big smile on his face and it made me smile to know I helped put that smile on his face.
