Our sweet Mrs. Bunny died this morning. She died in my hands as I held her and petted her and tried to sing to her (she always liked me singing to her) between crying and telling her it was okay to let go. Oh my goodness, that was heartbreaking to read. I'm very sorry that her death was not as quiet as you'd have liked. Losing a pet is second only to a family member because they're wonderful friends and companions. Do rabbits always pass away like that? Because that would mess anyone up, to see something so horrible. D:

I just want them to be immortal, is that too much to ask No, it isn't. We have cats, and I know it's going to be unbearable when they start going.

Again, I'm so sorry. There's just replacing beloved pets.

I'm so sorry! The way they die sounds incredibly heartbreaking! *hugs*

I don't like it when people say that it's ok to cry when a dog dies that was with your family for over a decade, but that it's silly to cry when little animals die that simply don't live very long. That's nonsense, because you get attached to every animal that's part of your family, no matter how long it was around. I have a little hamster that is one year old now, they don't grow very old and I already dread the day when I'll find her dead in her cage one day.
