Have you ever heard of
Santacon? A very large group of unrelated individuals dresses up in their favorite Santa outfit and traipses around the town painting it, uh, red. It's an annual series of events, taking place in multiple cities in different countries on different days in December. Our Santacon is put on by the Portland Cacophony Society, and is an excuse for Bacchanalian revelry supposedly meant to celebrate the participants' dislike of Christmas. It's more like an excuse to dress up like Santa and bar hop and have fun.
I didn't know today was Portland's Santacon, but I just happened to be down by
Skidmore Fountain at
Saturday Market and I had my camera with me.
All those trips to the gym really paid off.
The Easter Bunnies might be conspiring against you.
"What do we want? HO! When do we want it? HO!" - Actual cheering during this photo.
Smoking carrots isn't really any better for you, they're just harder to light.
Three young Santas.
Pimp Hat Santa.
Chicken-Head Santa.
Sexy Santa with shiny shirt and short shorts. Very pretty legs, for a guy.
Smoking Mime Santa.
Tall hat.
A large number of the Santas present, though there were even more than this. (Click for larger image.)
I stitched this together from three different pictures, so if any of the angles look weird, that's why.
