Boston Music Blogger Extraordinaire, Brad Searles, of
http://bradleysalmanac.com/, has troubles:
This, from his facebook:
"On Saturday, October 17th at Noon, please join us downstairs at the Middle East for a very special all-ages afternoon of music featuring Amie's friends and faves.
Live performers include Kristin Hersh (Throwing Muses/50 Foot Wave), Bill Janovitz (Buffalo Tom), Travels, Drew O'Doherty, Colin Clary (The Smittens/Let's Whisper), and Adam Brilla (The Broken River Prophet).
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and for those who haven't heard, Amie has recently become all too aware of her own diagnosis. So we're gathering for a pre-surgery party, one that will hopefully help raise awareness (get checked, ladies!) and funds (shared with the non-profit breastcancer.org). Tickets will be $10 and I'll post an update here with a link when they're available. We've made it all ages so that kids can come, and under a certain age they get in free (we just have to figure out what that age is :)).
UPDATE: Tickets are now available here:
http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/010043486F0D38BF?artistid=765322&majorcatid=10001&minorcatid=1 And we've decided that children 12 and under will get in free.
Our heartfelt thanks go out to the performers for donating their time and talent, to Kevin at the Middle East, and to Jen at Band in Boston & Jay at Clicky Clicky for the spark."
Go see Kristin Hersh for an awesome cause!
