Typed and edited this all a month ago, was trying to get it out before year's end

-=April=-

4th Panama City! For awhile we had talked about visiting the place taking the airstream and going hog wild. We ended up driving there in my new Volkswagen Rabbit to give it the roadtrip test. Took the laptop and a full season of Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia with us. Made it there and partied with Liz's friend Julie. My friend Gerald who I hadn't seen since I lived in Jacksonville lived only a few miles away so he came over to party too. the next morning we were off to a Perfect weather Panama City Beach! Had a big meal at Spinnakker and got to see lots of girls dancing at Club La Vela.

17th Cosmic Gate. went with Becca, Logan , and Thomas. We metup before at a place down the street because sadly Fuego lost its liquor license, sucked since we usually get cheap sangria's there for weekday shows. Fuego was tumbleweeds of empty. Cosmic gate was surprisingly very small audience, not even halfway filling Opera. best part of that was easy bartender attention and no bathroom attendants.

28 Tongue and Groove for Magda's birthday, got meet some new people.

-=June=-
7th Chris visits and we took joey with us to highlands park festival & Krishna fest

That weekend was the big Peruvian VS Costa Rica game so we got Caesar to bring his crew over to our house for the record BIGGEST party yet and lots of great food

-=July=-
4th Went to Lake Alatoona with Liz, Katie, Alex, and Roberto. the weather was amazing that day and perfect for swimming in the lake. we stayed there all day and grilled apple sausages. fireworks were so-so but the real funny part was that after the show everyone had to walk about a mile back to their cars. We had Craigs 80s boom box and cranked it, got everyone laughing and following us as we led the herd.

-=August=-
12th District 9 with Allen sneak preview. i knew absolutely nothing of this movie and I'm glad to say i saw it before anyone else. the movie is worth the hype for 1 simple reason. its a scifi movie that has a good plot, and you rarely see that these days. millions spent on special effects with totally forgettable storylines.

15th housewarming Emuko at her apartment downtown. got to see some old faces and also the kitties and how they've grown up.

17th Fat Tire beer seems to be everywhere. two parties both with people drinking this in 32oz bottles. the party mark took us too had everyone from my old job, most people didn't recognize me with the shaved head either but it was good to catch up.

24th Policenauts translation is released. if you know of Metal Gear Solid, you'll know the man behind it didn't start there but a few games before that. While snatcher got a localization Policenauts slipped through the cracks. for over a year i had been following the translation and now i got to play it in its entirety.

-=Aug 28th - Sept 4th Cruise Wedding=-
While a good long review of both my sister's wedding and the trip to the Bahamas is in order I'm going to save that for another time. Wedding was absolutely beautiful and to see her break down into tears while reciting her vows really showed me shes grown up now and no longer the little sister I grew up with and I couldn't be anymore proud of her. The cruise, the inside jokes we had and everyone I met as I now have a huge new family were really great. I had a little notepad I jotted down some things to remember for writing in an extensive review lateron but here is what I wrote down verbatim.

120.00 excursions
200.85 total overall room bill
total weight gained : 3 lbs
photos taken by photographers
2 with anastasia
1 with indian guy
1 with african

Day 1- Justin Rob Missy party - anastasia / ping pong balls "Two Questions"
Day 2- more girls, pictures sleeping outside in robes
day 3- peru/kiss kiss poker/ Bolivia / Cauuudia
day 4- cable car / bushwacker / romania, NC / butterfly museum Alissa 'coccoon' not real

Again a full review and pictures to come another time, for now I'm just going to say there won't be cruises for awhile for me, I did have a good time and all it's just that 7 days out at sea can be mentally draining on you if not physically so a smaller 3 day voyage would be about my limit if I ever sail again. Heres a compilation video basically summing up 10 Days in 10 Minutes.

-=September=-
13th My 29th birthday We all met up at fire of Brazil for a get together arranged by Caesar and while we'd normally need to pay cover it was my birthday so we got in free. the place was packed, and while it wasn't a direct bday celebration it was good to see everyone. liz, jerry, nikki, and alex came and anya brought her friend sherri along.

18th Japanfest & AWA, my one convention of the year since i missed dragoncon. alex joey and i went to japanfest during the day. for the first time it was indoors at a convention center because of the weather. the food was good but the lines were way long. we had gotten different types of sake here which some were really sweet and others totally disgusting.

AWA XV was later that day. met up with emily and nikki at the Anime Burlesque show which was no different than any other Burlesque show. while they tried to 'theme' it as anime the girls just wore china dresses and steampunk outfits. i got to see some old friends here like Lee, Sara, Lionel, Inubito, Battou John, John and a few others so it was a welcome sight to see them after a long time of not con hopping like i used to. The Hoshizaki party again was cramped but as always had lots of mixed drinks. Didn't stay long but getting from hotel to hotel was a pain since the rain was pouring. we saw several kids running around just getting drenched without umbrellas.

22nd Atlanta had been in a drought for such a long time you'd think wed enjoy seeing rain, but for the northwest part of atlanta they got horrendous floods. even six flags had so much rain that the roller coaster looked like a dragon in the water.

21st solanges birthday get together wednesday at loca luna and later went to Rebeccas to dance to music. that weekend we had the BIG party which began at her house eating catered peruvian food, then to aqua blue for dancing and live mariachi birthday. They even had a party bus outside we did shots in.

24th Saw mono a few years back we watched Mono at drunken unicorn. the show was good but the crowd made it impossible to move. nikki had got word that mono was doing a show with live orchestra. thing was, it was at masq so we had our doubts. they ended up just playing a normal show and even though they had brought a gong, they didnt use it. After mark, sq, matt, mark, nikki, and i went to Felinnis for pizza.

-=October=-

18th First Luis Cordero's birthday and then Lanas birthday was at the W and then Two Urban Licks. I got the Big Ass Burger (which wasn't that big) and we brought our own wine bottle to drink. Had an okay night and got funny pictures (the sunflower was in the bathroom). Afterward we headed to Last Great Watering Hole, had a pitcher of beer and watched cover bang Silk and Steel play.

24th We had played with different ideas for halloween, but when i heard my bama friends were having a party we decided thats the best option. all week i had thought it was a saturday (halloween rite?) party but instead it was friday for some reason. liz, alex and i drove after liz got off work, so we didn't get on the road until 10:30pm, luckily bama has that extra hour central time. We checked in to the hotel (which oddly was out of towels!) got on our costumes and headed over. when we arrived we caught Dave leaving and everyone else winding down. We tried getting the party going but it was basically just us making jokes and talking. it was good to see everyone for what time we were there. Doug had come up for this with his brother so he knew some bars we could try to go to since we were still ready to party. at first we drove way out of the way and found the bar was closed then doug took us to the most ghetto club in the city. we looked absolutely nuts there in full costume while everyone was listening to gangsta rap and hip hop. our entrance in there was totally begging for the Record Scratch sound, but a lot of guys there thought it was funny as hell. We stayed about 2 hours then headed back to the hotel.
the next day was an auburn/Mississippi tailgate in auburn. we had been talking to jerry, Liz's brother in law for awhile about goign to one of these so our timing was perfect. met up with a really cool crowd and grilled chicken and other things. after that we headed to downtown auburn which was of course toilet papered everywhere. didn't see too many people in costume during the day but that didn't stop us from walking around in costume.

-=November=-
17th Deadmau5
Went with logan and tony to this, we got blasted on Watermelon 4 Loko before the show which was awesome. the opener "Burns" was amazing and had a nice led light show to go along with it. caught Alex in the back with becca and theresa. becca was moving to Portland the next day so it was good to see her one last time. we stayed most of the night. his set wasn't that impressive but the lights at the show ere cool. caught derek and kelso as we were leaving so we all went home played some street fighter and chilled for awhile.

19th After last year i really wanted to go to paintball in colder weather. Larry had arranged for a private game between our company's Tech Support versus the Sales department. only about 8 from our team and 3 from sales showed up but we played anyway. I brought Asia and Alex with me to this so they were very excited about playing.
