Zoe's Big Move
We helped Zoe moved house yesterday...we rented a 3 tonne truck from Abel for a whole day with hubby as the driver....weather was terrible!!! I was kinda up at 6.30 am...and the sun was so bright....but the time we went out for brekkie...there wasnt a cloud in the sky like forever....and the heat was terrible...she has picked the hottest day of the year to move.....we waited till today coz thought it would be best to move after the 15 days of CNY...
36 degrees!!! Gosh....it was indeed super duper hot....all drenched...but overall we had enough help...and cant believe a petite person like her has so so so many things...my in-laws commented it's like a family moving.....I also cannot believe how many things she has and she was previously living in a small room...
Lucky her new place which she is sharing with her good friend has another spare room for us to leave all her stuff.....then...we were done about 1 +...headed back to my place to shower...then went to Ikea to get something since we had the truck...just in case she wanted to get some tables etc...
Coz we were driving the truck we cannot park and the usual underground carpark....had to go through a intercom security to park near their loading bay....hubby pressed the intercome and.....
Intercom: Hi, security?
Hubby: Hello
Intercom: Please turn the engine off
Hubby: What? Sorry we cannot hear you (engine was still running, too loud cannot hear)
Intercom: Please turn the engine off
Me: (I heard "what's the truck for?"): Our friend was moving house today so we rented the truck and was going to buy some stuff from Ikea
Intercom: Please turn the engine off
Me: (This time I heard "blah blah blah, please f*** off")..Then I said, so sorry we cannot hear you, can you please repeat yourself?
Intercom: Please turn the engine off, can you hear me? (a little louder this time)
Hubby: Oh, turn the engine off (then he turned it off)...
Intercom: Please park your vehicle......etc.....
We were laughing when walking from the parking area coz all these 3 sentences sounded similar.....hahahaha....
Zoe bought a table & some stuff so had to drive to her place again to drop it off...she was going to treat us + our in-laws for dinner.....so we came back to our place to rest coz she didnt want to unpack.....then headed for dinner...
We were all so tired yesterday....working out so much...it was Zoe's first time perspiring so much...I was so sure I wont have body ache coz I have been going to the gym...was so wrong....coz this was like carrying many boxes up & down....and indeed got the body ache during the night....so didnt really sleep well....haha hubby was impressed coz he didnt know I could carry so many things......thanks to the gym Im kinda stronger now....
Have to wake up early this morning to return the truck....havent driven for so long...so followed hubby while he drove the truck.....today wasnt as hot as yesterday....terrible weather..
