Receipe from my book - 1 Mix, Many Cakes
Ingredients
- Oil for greasing
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup superfine sugar
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 2 tbsp unsweetended cocoa
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Icing sugar for dusting
Method
- Preheat oven to 160 degrees, grease a 6 3/4 cup tube cake pan
- Sift the flour and baking powder into a large bowl and add the butter, superfine sugar & eggs
- Beat well until the mixture is smooth
- Transfer half the mixture to a separate bowl
- Comine the coca and milk and stir into one bowl of mixture
- Add the vanilla extract to the other bowl and mix evenly
- Spoon alternate tablespoons of the 2 mixtures into the prepared pan and swirl lightly with a spatula for a marbled efect
- Bake in the pre-heated oven for 40-50 minutues or until risen, firm and golden brown.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 min then turn out and finish cooling on a wire rack
- Dust with icing sugar before serving

Just before the bake...my swirling didnt turn up that well though..opps!
