Funny story plus a moral

Today my level 42 Fighter was able to frustrate a level 7x (or higher, he had a Green Scarab) who was trying to nab all of the Rombots.

There are people who CC because they don't wanna get in your way and then there are those who get in your way and race to Rombot like it's some sort of effing Mushmom to kill it before you get to it.

I was running into this guy about every 3 channels and killing everything in sight.

BTW, let me explain something. I don't think anyone on the English services know the weapon speeds, like Fast, Faster whatever actually have a number, it's not all static. That being said...let's move on now that we're all enlightened equally.

So he sees me with my lovely Sapphire Mail, my Lionheart and my Green Bamboo Hat. I look pretty "Level 35ish"...yet I'm 42 and I top out damage-wise at 1700.

And my Lionheart before Booster is 77 speed. His Green Scarab is 80. So in a KSing war, he loses. His stuff has to FLY and he has to get range to shoot. I jump in and ruin the Block Golems. PS is usually a 2hKO and SB is 4-5. I should mention that Lionheart is the last sword you get with the better speed, and mine is 61 ATK. 6 slots left. ^^

So after realising that he was getting owned on every map by someone 30 levels below him (because I was killing all of the Rombots before this clown showed up) he decided to just rush every map to kill nothing BUT the Rombots.

I mean, whatever dude. You're level 70 and you're Rombot rushing? Better get that Dark Guardian that you outgrew 40 levels ago. That's like the greatest drop EVAR. Or is it the 1000 meru you're going to make selling the Rombot CDs?

Now here's the cool/funny part. I've been here for a few levels for several days now. I have gotten exactly NOTHING in the way of drops. Zilch.

Control. It's who the monsters spawn for. So the guy is skipping killing everything. I get to where he was and it's drop after drop. In about 30 minutes I got 6 drops and several of them were clearly his because I couldn't pick them up. It was his control.

But therein lies the lesson. So many people go on Mushmom runs and I have ALWAYS done well getting drops from Iron Hogs. My theory is that it's the same thing. And there can't be a more stark irony. Hunting Mushmom for the idea of getting drops is probably the most retardedly inefficient thing you can blow your time doing. Yet the people who do that leave all of these drops that they never collect because they don't kill anything along the way. And Iron Hogs drop the Sunquan Staff and that bad boy is hella valuable.

And the same thing works here as well. All of the stuff people skip, I have no idea why but if they leave it you seem to get better luck finding drops.

In summary the morals are:

A Warrior frustrated an Assassin and overpowered it for once in history. Oh yeah, and it wasn't really an Assassin, it was a Hermit. And I was level 42 and he was level 7x or higher. Right there that's vindication for everyone who ever blah blah yadda whatever ANYWAY...but the kicker is that I got all of his drops, 6 in 30 minutes and that's hilarity.

fighters, hermits
