omg! I had an auction on Basil for crossbow scroll, and someone came to me claiming to be the highest bidder, so I ended the auction early for them and we traded.
And today, I get someone coming to me saying they were the actual winner. I check the auction and the winner's IGNs, and yes, this was the actual winner, not the person who had come to me a few days before.
Apparently I sold the scroll to someone who was NOT the winning bidder. I feel like an idiot (I was stupid enough to believe them when I asked if they were the winner, without double-checking the Basil ID for the IGN). And I feel bad for having to tell the winner I no longer had the scroll. :( Why do people feel the need to lie and cheat and scam to get what they want? A similiar thing happened to me, as well, though I was the one who lost the item due to a liar.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Oh yeah! On a happier note, I have made my first million ever. *__* I'm proud of myself. XD
