ab vs ds
i'm going to be assigning SP for my archer off this guide and i plan on chosing xbow for 2nd job, but it says not to go with DS because AB is more efficient, and that you should only take it if you know what youre doing. so, now i'm wondering if i should take AB or DS.. ive read that you're good to go with whatever you chose, but i've also heard

I put arrow blow early because
* it's mandatory in order to get Double Shot
* it's useful at level 1 (141% damage)
It can eat some potions though, so dont abuse it.
I choose important passive skills first, so you may use Arrow Blow until level 22-23.
You can choose Arrow Blow instead of Double Shot.
Yup. First point always in AB. The only thing I'd add is not to save points, because at that level you can hunt Wild Boars and the like (stuff with 500-600 HP) and if you saved points, you need to OVERKILL to kill them, so that's wrong.

That is just horrible. Soul Arrow is the one thing you don't need...the one thing that a piddling amount of money can replicate. This guy says "levelling from 40-70 can be really slow"...YEAH IF YOU DON'T HAVE BOOSTER ASAP!!!
* Blizzard even at level 1 is amazing, and opens a whole new lot of possibilites in regard to monster hunting. Have fun going to Werewolves, Dark Yeti & Pepe and so on !
True...but...
Why the low Mortal Blow ?
I am not convinced in the real efficiency or usefulness of that skill.
Eruption deals with the close combat already. With Blizzard, Puppet and Eagle mobs are supposed to stay away for starters. I wouldnt rely on a skill that does NOT work all the time (like Final Attack, by the way) especially in areas where monsters can kill me in 2 hits (areas where i'm training...)
Which is why you also want Eruption. There's a lot of stuff under you that you can get a chance at if you take 1 point in it right away just to get the attention of stuff. Now that I've had more time to sort of MB and Strafe, I would also say to wait. The jury's still out on that one for me...I had a good long convo with intoxic about that.
Just make sure that once you pressed the Blizzard key, you *immediately* press the Strafe key, dont wait fot the shooting animation to end, then Strafe will chain, otherwise there will be a delay that only allows you 1 strafe before the monster unfreezes and starts moving again.
OH PRAISE JESUS, SOMEONE WHO EFFING GETS *HOW* TO PLAY IT!
I'll give him a B+. If you followed his guide, you wouldn't want to kill yourself for wasting your time after months of progress.
