An ode to misbehaviour
It's very timely that in a period in which we get a new server (Bellocan) that seems to be filled with the biggest idiots ever AND the whole blackwingdragon situation gets resurrected, good old FARK.com has this little gem:

Something to keep in mind with dealing with idiots on the internets, whether it be in the forums here on in the game itself, not everyone has the same physiological brain development.

Which is why it's best to do that.
They don't learn how it feels until they feel it themselves. So as you can see, many of these people cannot help themselves. Think about a defame war. Why start one if you're going to lose all of your fame as well? Because as the article says these people are deficient in both experience and actual physical grey matter in their skulls.
But they learn how stupid a defame war is and get screwed by it and it helps their little pea-sized brains grow. So in a sense, when you put these fools in their place, you are helping them. Which is why it's always important to use their own words/logic against them, ask them exactly what they are accusing you of and just call them what they're calling you.
If they call you gay, say "I'm not the one bringing up homosexuality to strangers"...stuff like that. Why are they thinking about "gay" so much? I live in the gayest neighbourhood in Canada and I don't think about gay anything when I'm walking in front of rainbow flags and leather biker guys who look like they're here for a Village People concert.
If that stuff concerns them, maybe they should learn the term "latent homosexuality" and the word "denial"...I don't go up to people and talk to them about knitting, either...because I don't think about/care about that.
So remember. The article says these people are incapable of empathy. So the key is to make them feel what they are doing. If you can't take it, don't dish it out as the saying goes. And since they have no empathy, don't take it personally when you goof on them.
These people are harmless. They're underdeveloped. But they'll learn, someday.
