I was thinking about getting to a point where I could hit say...Spirit Vikings and then hammer away with Slash Blast and a nice, quick 1H sword and take as much damage as possible while getting healed.
They were onto something...the Balrog thing was an extreme example, but I don't think that's what I'd use it for. But if you were returning 400-500 damage every few seconds, in 10 hits that's 10% of it's HP, plus whatever I'd be doing. But it's really far off because I couldn't hit them until I was close to their level.
With the groups, maybe megaphone it? I don't know how people use megaphones in GMS, but in JMS people megaphone mainly for groups. I'll try to screencap one if I think of it (I rarely read them anymore) but the other day people were megaphoning for people to party with hunting for a Maple Shield...and the same person asked me when I walked by, LOL!
It's a "whoever gets it, keeps it" sorta thing, but of the 6 of them there, 3 of them were sporting the shield and I think the other 2 were Bowmen or something...who knows how many they had?
I hardly ever see megaphones looking for group members unless it's for really high leveled maps. Most people in GMS seem to use megaphones to insult each other, shout out to their friends, promote their FM store, share song lyrics, or bitch about the game.
Also, I can imagine in GMS, if one person killed something that dropped a desirable item, unless your party members are your friends or they are super polite, they would probably jump in, steal the item, quit the party and run away before mass defaming you, setting a summoned balrog on you, and hacking all your characters. x_x
Well, with a farming party, whoever gets the damage has first crack at the item. I don't know what the delays are in GMS, but in JMS you have like 60-120 seconds to get your loot before anyone else can, and it disappears about 3 seconds after it opens up.
I guess it's different with Zakum since...seriously, who did the most damage? Probably a free-for-all.
But these farming parties are totally safe...people take their sector and stick to it.
I want to second that Megaphones are largely useless in GMS for any kind of real transactions - it's mostly stuff like, "CONGRATZ 2 DamEIoN 4 LV90!1!!111! <#3333 luv hunbun202032!!!!!!!!!1" All day. Every day.
I couldn't decide how to punctuate that sentence, since the "1" at the end was a typo'd exclamation point. Odd.
