Adios Nihongo! Bonjour Felice Navidad!

Last night was also the last Japanese class for the year. It was good. I am learning but I am not reviewing. I really need private lessons with someone who will speak in Nihongo so I can listen and get used to it and to responding. That is what I plan to look for next time.

Class went well. We planned to go to a restaurant to celebrate this Saturday with the teacher, Saori. Well I suggested it, I am not sure how many people will come. So far there are about 6 or so.

They actually gave us certificates saying we completed the Beginning level of Japanese. It was a nice certificate-however, at the bottom in fine Japanese print, after some difficult translation, it was written "This is just a certificate of completion, actual knowledge gained may be non-existent. We are not responsible for any stupid Gaijin error. Thank you, JCCC."

The restaurant is called TAKA sushi. So, to impress everyone I wrote it in English then I said, "just to show you guys I learned something in this class, I will write it in Hiragana!" Except I wrote NAka SUSHI instead of TAKA Sushi.

Someone piped in, "Give back the Certificate!!"

It was pretty funny!

food, weird, life
