Rememberance Day
I did not forget.
It is a little somber when there is a major conflict going on across the world. My thoughts are with them.
My thoughts are also with the way the day is being handled. As a teacher, I would like to see more emphasis placed on remembering not just the conflicts and those who died to preserve their way of life, but also the reasons for the wars and why so many had to die.. It would also be interesting to look at how other countries saw the war.
I would like the emphasis to look at not only the contributions of the the country that you live in, but also look at the countries of some of the students who did not grow up in the West.
War has impacted every region of this world. We have to educate the next generation to try to prevent war on a Global Scale.
