...as a dog
So yesterday as I was making my way through my day at Kanagawa Sohgoh (the Premier school in Kanagawa Ken), my throat started to hurt...BADLY!
I was wondering if it was the tin of crab I munched on instead of dinner or the can of fruit that followed? Needless to say, by the evening I was doing these little coughs that you hear from people that sound like dry and cackling. The kind of coughs that get on your nerves really fast and makes you want to choke the life out of the person coughing. Well this cough was worse than that..
As a result, I got absolutely no sleep because every 5 seconds I had to clear my throat. It did not help that I had to relieve myself about 6 times last night either...which I think was a result of this illness. Plus I had all those frightening dreams that accompany one who is drifting in and out of slumber.
I sound like I am talking with one of those electric devices pressed against my throat. I sound metallic.
FOREIGN AFFAIRS
I sent an email to Mr Kondo at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the problems that have been happening here concerning the ALTS who wish to leave early. Well I received a call from a Mr. Morishita from MFA who was in charge of the situation. He wanted to get CLAIR involved and I told him that CLAIR has already told us their response. "It is up to the discretion of the Contracting Organization and the ALT." I told him this and told him that CLAIR was useless. I went through the issues of the ALTS who are being hindered from leaving early by a Policy that is so ridiculous. Yet no one seems to want to take any sort of responsibility for the decisions that have been made.
So I agreed that CLAIR will be involved but I know that nothing will change...and if it does, it will because I made noise. I am not doing this for any personal glory but for a sense of Justice. Plus I am just DAMN tired of hearing that "if we do it for one person, we must do it for everyone else". I am so fed up of that!!!
