Today I spent the whole morning going through my room and throwing out as much documents as I possibly can. I ended up hurling 8 bags of papers that have just been filling up nooks and crannies. Again, it is so freeing to actually do something like that! I love it!

I also got my corrected NYU Certificate of Eligibility. They still made one mistake by listing me as 'Born in Canada' but I do not think that there will be any fuss. I thought that UPS would email me to tell me that I would be getting the delivery but the man just rang the doorbell and then bolted!

I took off early to meet up with my friend Saeed. We both went to Japan together and I think we built up a decent friendship. He came down a number of time to visit me in Fujisawa. I sadly did not make it up to Tochigi. He invited me to his wedding. I am really excited about the wedding. He has been through some hard times and I hope that everything works out well for me. I really want to go to the wedding but the date is very close to when I move. As of now, I am definitely going to go!

I ended up having dinner with my old roomie MSW. We actually went for Japanese food...again As I mentioned before, every time we meet, she suggest Japanese food. Not that I mind really because this time, because I had just seen the Japanese movie Tampopo and I had a craving for Miso Ramen (Noodles in a Miso(soy) broth). Sadly, the place where we went had everything except miso ramen. All they had was Miso Soup (which is not the same thing)

Instead we started out with tempura (which is my all time fave!!) and shared some edamame (which are boiled and salted soybeans). My pal Lindsey B. introduced me to it one day. the best thing is... In the Asian stores now, you can buy frozen Edamame! MSW is addicted to it which I think is so hilarious! We then had some sushi and we were both pretty full! It is funny, I don't want to sound snobby cause I'm not. Everyone knows I prefer good food at a cheap price rather than expensive food that does nothing for me. For some reason Sushi made by Japanese chefs taste so much better than other places run by non-Japanese. I still don't mind going to some of the all-you-can-eat places for sushi even if they are not Japanese because its cheaper but for a good experience...Gimme an authentic Japanese sushi chef. And while I love sushi, I seem to have a passion for the one sushi that was not invented in Japan, the California Roll though I must admit, Salmon Sushi is damn good too!

MSW and I had a blast as usual. We mixed tales of Niagara University with current events and life's little curve balls. All in all, a very pleasant night until... I had to leave and it began to pour! It was a torrential rainstorm! I stood under the awning for 20 minutes hoping it would slow down. But nothing, finally I noticed that across the street there was was a P.A.T.H. sign. This is basically a pedestrian system that allows you to walk from Bloor and Yonge all the way to the Rogers Centre and Air Canada Centre with only minimal exposure to the weather. I think its only till you get to the sport centres do you need to exit the system. So I was able to get home with only minimal rain.

the day is over and I had so many things to ponder. So much...

food, health, friends, japan
