I met with a Grad student yesterday to talk about the programme and what I was getting into. It got me more excited to listen to someone who is so focused. Cat is now finished and looking to work for Rand which is a think-tank. Now that's what I call a great position. I too harbour secret desires and also some secret wishes for where I would like to end up but voicing them now would be quite premature. Plus who knows where I will end up during and after.

Cat and I talked for about 1 hour and then she helped me get through some paper work, which could have waited but the opportunity to do it was available. Afterward she sent us on our way to the OISS-Office of International Students and Scholars where I had forgotten the purpose of why I had to go there but managed to get some info anyways. Foremost is getting the AFCOE papers submitted to them with the $50. cheque.

I did end up with some good news. I called and found out that my second loan was approved so basically my finances are set for the next year. Not only that, I have some wiggle room to find a better apartment. I am still looking for something good.Location, location, location. But I am seeing so many good places that I am expanding my thoughts on where to live. Originally I wanted Chinatown, then it was Brooklyn and now I am thinking to include Midtown. I found a place for an incredible $735. per month but it was near the Lincoln tunnel. It looks beautiful! But when the best being offered is around one thousand, seven hundred has to be not all ok. The location is close to Time Square so there are issues about how safe it would be in the night.

Today, I am meeting with the Director of the Admin, Leadership and Tech Department. I am hoping to persuade her on my plight as an international student. It is all good and I am hoping something falls into place.

So, how you doin?
