Sorry for the double post

I want to make a crossbowman... I'm tired of waiting for Pirate class to come out! SO what are your opinions? Is it a fun class? Or maybe Bowman is better? And where can I find a nice build guide? (Hidden-street isn't very helpful)

And MERRY CHRISTMAS, GUYS!!!

Crossbowman is not very fun, but it sure is efficient and powerful. If you do it right you can also really adventure quite a bit since you can go after the strongest monsters in the game. If they ever get Showa put in, Grandpa etc is so hard to hit that you need Bowmen to kill him. There's always that.

As far as a build goes, best/fastest is...

No STR
All DEX

Then if you decide you want a normal build (which you do since there are no weapons past level 43) start adding STR for level 18.

1st point take Arrow Blow.
Next take 3 Blessing.
Take 8 Eye of Amazon/20 Critical Shot. Do them at the same time, do Eye 1st, do some Eye, do CS, come back and finish Eye. Whatever. But do them both.
Finish Arrow Blow
Rest of your points in Focus. Congrats. Job advance.

1 Iron Arrow
5-6 Mastery
5-6 Booster
20 (TWENTY, not 19 you need 20 for 4th job) Mastery, so finish it.

Ok. Stop here. At this point you need a few things and using them all is a possibility. You should finish Focus. You're going to want Soul Arrow. Booster might not be enough for you. And Iron Arrow is your next attack and not having it slows your training.

I can wait on Soul Arrow because I can always buy more arrows. More Focus is nice for going after stronger monsters, but you can only dent them with Arrow Blow. If you build up Iron Arrow you can train on stronger stuff, so I say finish that, do a few points on Booster/Soul Arrow/Focus to get them more usable.

You also may see you need help making space, so max out Power Knockback, 20 points there.

It doesn't really matter what order you do Focus, Booster and Soul Arrow. You get them all maxed. Because you skip Final Attack you can finish Focus. I don't even have to explain Double Shot do I? LOL!

Anyway, when you're done you are able to max everything out.

3rd job.

Again, pretty simple.

The good news is that your Arrow Blow is very powerful, so you can choose to take Strafe later. Regardless, 1 point as a minimum is good because it's a fast attack. It's not the 50% damage you get, it's that you can peel it off in hairy situations if you get run over.

My advice is to go for Blizzard. You don't need to get anything to take it and it freezes monsters so you can have breathing room. Don't max it, take it to 21 and stop there...for now. The thing to remember is that you have incredible attack power and Accuracy, but you're not durable at all due to lack of HP. You can easily kill things that can easily kill you, so staying alive is important.

Next you can finish out Strafe. Or you can wait. You'd be surprised how powerful Arrow Blow is. It's not that Strafe is all that much more powerful, just potentially moreso. It can be redundant. Perhaps you want Puppet, and from Puppet Golden Eagle? Maybe you want Iron Eagle because you love Louis Gossett Jr? Or you can finish Blizzard for the power as well as the 3 seconds of freezing.

It's pretty easy to finish, just remember you need Puppet for the Eagle and Mortal Blow for the Eruption. As long as you skip Thrust, you are fine. Totally skip Thrust, Final Attack and Double Shot. If you just remember that you can write these guides from memory like I do...hahahaha

Also, you don't have enough points to finish Eagle. It doesn't matter. You get 21 (I think) if you skip Thrust, max everything and leave Eagle short. But you only need 15 Eagle for 4th job. After that, I don't know. I've never played anything 4th job.

Edit: I said Ice Strike LOL

You sound like you type this kind of stuff ALL the time. Does anyone ever tell you how awesome your responses are? Seriously.

Efficiency and power is my kind of fun, btw. This may just be the class for me!

It's easier to remember than to find it from the last time, LOL? Thank you.

Honestly I thought I sorta cheaped out or cheap out on the Crossbowman since it's so easy. No real STRANGE requirements for AP for equips, it's easy to do the SP if you just eliminate 3 skills and for most of the skills you can essentially do them in whatever order you want and not suffer at all. The other classes have so many more sides to them...^^

Yeah, I think you'll like it if that's the case. It can get a little boring...the 3 major dips are waiting for CS to be done, waiting for Mastery to be done and waiting for Iron Arrow to be done. Only because you know that you could be MORE efficient if you were getting more Crits, doing your base damage or doing full damage to mobs. Though with the tons of Acc you get from all that DEX and the concentrated power of the AB attack you always have the option of hunting anything you want, within reason. You can always change it up. Can't say that's really true for anyone else but an Assassin.
