WHAT IS FREAKIN' FAMILY?
You said we have love and the perfect family,
but sit down, shut up, and for once listen to me.
You don't base love on hatred or lies,
cussing, pain, slapping or desperate cries.
Calling you child a failed stupid bitch,
is just as bad as yelling until your eye begins to twitch.
Family isn't wanting to constantly run away,
or slit your wrists like i feel today.
Kids get offended when you break promises all the time,
or when all the answers can be found in a bottle of wine.
You tell us to go away and yet i cannot leave,
the things you said and did behind me.
So think about your words before they come out,
cuz when you say "I love you" all i hear is doubt.
And another thing or did i forget to mention,
when i'm feeling torn and wishing i wasn't born pay attention.
now you're about to get mad i can always tell,
by the expression on your face you're about to yell.
So now i'll go off all on my own,
i'll be in my room crying alone.
Let me leave you with this one thought before i go,
I'm falling and I need you, now you know.
