Fall anime and comic journal

I think since Gundam 00 second season, I kinda stopped following current anime so closely. I did follow Inuyasha Final Act when it was running, but that was pretty much it.

However, Fall 2010 has Tegami Bachi Reverse! So I'll be watching it (yay for Crunchyroll simulcast), not quite livestream like I did with G00 (man that was fun, staying up at 3am and watching crappy stream and not understanding most of the dialogue XD).

Anyway, I got into Tegami Bachi a month and half ago, when I randomly read the first chapter in Shonen Jump, and marathoned through the anime. And then since I couldn't wait for season 2, I went and marathoned through the rest of the manga as well XD So I know the plot, but still want to see it animated because Gauche is hot.

Aside from that, I watched the first few eps of the new Pokemon series. It's so weird watching it in Japanese XD Not used to the names and voices (it makes me laugh that James has Lockon's voice); apparently the new guy replacing Brock has Setsuna's voice (his name is "Dent", I think I'll burst out laughing every time I hear his name).

Ash is still 11, somehow (apparently he turned 11 at the end of Johto). Pikachu, despite the fact that it should be at level 100 by now, lost to a starter (which should be level 5), wtf?! Not only did Tsutarja not faint from Pikachu's Quick Attack, it somehow pulled up a powerful enough Grass Mixer (which it can't even learn at the start) to knock out Pikachu.. I know the anime is not the same as the games, but still, wtf.

The art style changed a bit though, it's a lot cleaner and shinier. I appreciate them doing something different from the previous series, but I miss Brock... I also wonder if we'll meet the player characters.

Last but not least, I saw Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt, because a friend linked me to it. My first thought was "Cartoonnetwork?" and then "wtf is this??". It's certainly something different... The art style reminds me of Powerpuff Girls meets Adult Swim. The content is R-rated and rather vulgar and crude with lots of innuendos, not to mention that stripperific transformation sequence. I think it's Gainax testing out just how far they can get away with.. I'm surprised a lot of that even got past the censors DX

I dunno if I'll follow this one, probably not. I watched the first ep out of idle curiosity.

The other purpose for this (rather long and ranty) post is that I've started a community to throw all of my comics: rose_comics (not a terribly creative name, but I couldn't think of anything >_< ). It's all old stuff there now; hopefully I'll remember to update it when I draw new stuff XD
