The verdict... Meh ext_127419 February 4 2009, 02:22:37 UTC
Ok, so maybe I am a little spoiled here. But all in all this episode wasn't that grand.... Yet again, my perspective, point by point

Ribbonz seems to be a little high and mighty there, telling that "nope, it's not the Innovators who are gonna be in charge, I'm the one in charge". Yup, god complex, setting himself up nicely for the backstabbing fall, most likely at the hands of Regene, whom Ribbonz just told him was unimportant. Haha. Will wait for this to happen =D

With the way that 00 seems to have a habit of setting up these complex plot points and then failing to extrapolate or expand on them... I doubt is. Season two has been really bad for this. Starting and then stopping completely. That said, Regene is about ready to play his hand... the question is, will it work?

That said, Ribbons is still the "Best pilot for Gundam". End stop. :p

The Gundams go out to destroy the debris. And yes, even Arios XD Tieria didn't have many lines, like maybe 2 XD. But I heard Haro! Yay! Cherudim's Shield Bits look kinda cool when deployed, they looked like funnels...

You know, I think that was the only real thing that I like about this scene... that every gundam here was playing it's strengths and using everything they have. Save for the Arios, which was stuck for the most part playing gunner (which wasn't bad, just not really the situation for bad ass manoeuvrability)
And Stupid Sexy GN Archer...

Everyone in the area: Federation, CB, coup d'eta people, all stopped fighting and worked together to destroy the debris. I thought this was really touching and cool =D That is, until Andrei ruined it all.... =(

Ok, remember above.... how I said that the Gundam where the most enjoyable thing out of this scene. Well here is why I hated the rest of it... I can understand that Katron moving in to do something, even CB and the Coup Feddies. The regular forces with something of a push, then the 00 appears (really? IT JUST LAUNCHED... Into the stratosphere... Into space to deal with MM v2.0 only to come back down in lest than a few minutes... After Trans-AM... am I missing something here?), then Kati's squad appears and helps out? (I see that coming from her, but their should be something to pay for that... unless she can segway Andrei's actions to save her skin.)
I almost get the feeling that soon, the shark will be jumped (if it hasn't already).

Anyway, SoMarie goes out in Gun Archer, she says it's okay 'cause it's a mission to save people (ie, she's not really fighting). Finally! Get to see it in action. It's kinda ugly though... and I'm NOT fond of the salmon pink colour... Same can be said of SoMarie's pilot suit. That colour.. ugh, doesn't suit her one bit! I liked the green A-Laws suit on her much better... (and wasn't she wearing that last ep as she was about to sortie?!?!) But it seems that they've found their Red Ranger...

It's official, from now on... in any gundam... if a woman pilots a mobile suit for the protagonists. They get to where pink... in some way, shape or form. Good going SEED....
And lady, that ain't salmon pink (like the Char's 'Red' Zaku). That is some nasty hot pink... I mean really, it almost seizure inducing. Other than that, I am in perfect agreement with you, it not Soma... it's not Marie (whom is a passive one)... it's way too loud, and just doesn't fit.
The days of Emma, Noin, Une, and other strong females are over... You almost get the feeling that Soma is going to get the "Girl in a Gundam show" treatment. Which, yet again... would be a damn shame.

ANDREI YOU BASTARD!!!! KILL HIM SOMARIE!! KILL HIM!!

There, I feel better. The death flags for Sergei were flying everywhere, but still! I expected Heroic Sacrifice, not Andrei's stupidity!! Ugh. He and Louise make a perfect couple >___> Well, A-Laws is full of stubborn and bitter people who misunderstand.. (Billy is another one of those) well, 'cept Patrick (he's too much of a dork to be bitter I think XD) and Kati.

Ok, if there is one thing that I have learned in my new job... it's the value of communication. And what we are bare to witness with Andrei is a complete and under collapse of communication with an event that few, not even his Father, can come to grips with.
It's understandable that Segeri acted the way that he did about it. It was a private way to morn the loss. It's even understandable that Andrei seems to despise his Father for the order to withdraw (even through, by the looks of things... Segeri, as much as Andrei paints it otherwise, had no pleasure in that order. And it is something that still take his toll on him). But what he did, what Andrei did in his own confusion, is angst taken a step too far.

but it did destroy the station
My Turn to rave... please bare with me.

WHAT THE FUCK!!!? I MEAN REALLY, WHAT KIND OF HALF ASSED DROP IS THIS. This almost makes me wish that they revisit some U-FUCKING-C... When Zeon said they are going to drop a colony, THEY DROP A FUCKING COLONY. Once the drop gets started, few things can stop it, and you can sense the dread associated with it. When the Titans say they are going to gas your colony (and by the way, you get no warning if you are a civilian), guess what... over hell and high water, they fight damn hard to gas you, and hey they have success with a few of them, just the nail down the point that they mean business.
Hell, even SEED has a moment where (Genesis or Nukes... take your pick) where you get the feeling that one side (or both, in this case) is playing for keeps... even if it means they go to hell (or your Azral whom just doesn't care).
00, A-laws is lucky enough to fucking clip the thing and what do we get... tiles of massive damage... And then they take all guns they have and shoot down most (if not all) of them? WHAT THE FUCK?! What, can't A-laws get a win to look even more sinister and evil?! No? Then WHAT THE HELL WAS ALL THAT SET UP FOR? THIS? URGH!
Here is hoping this is two staged fallout, if not.... FAIL, MASSIVE -FUCKING- FAIL!

Sergei meant everything to Soma, and while I dunno if she's gonna take over, I don't think she'll just sit and do nothing.

Same, I am expecting some reaction that will be Soma-like in some manner. But they tore her down before, I am almost expecting that they do it again.

But, the next ep preview showed her face, and it looked like a Soma expression =D So maybe she's finally gonna come out of the kitchen and kick some Little Bear a$$

One can only hope... One can only hope.

Still lacked some Gr--- MISTA Bushido and Trans-GrahAM, and something seems missing from 00 as a whole. Maybe it's the lack of follow through with a few things (see: Fucking DROP!), or many it's something else. I'm still on the edge with this.
