I felt silly last night after scaring myself while playing Tomb Raider Anniversary. I've had this game for weeks, and yet I just finished the first level in Peru (Mountain Caves). The best thing about this game, though, is that everytime you die, the game just puts you in your last checkpoint with another full HP! Just pray that you weren't about to kill a monster before you died, or else the monster is alive again when you get back (I think I'm scared because I don't want to die, despite knowing that they'd give me a new life again... Just like in Fatal Frame, but I'm more concerned with the ghosts there ;B)
It's fun playing Lara Croft (She's so sexy and fit; i bet she'd win with whoever else if she joined the Amazing Race!) and killing her after jumping from so high (I swear you can hear her bones crack when she hits the floor everytime. Oops, sorry.). I can't get over how great she is at the stuff she does! Then again, she's a video game character and there's no one in this world who'd do better given similar situations.
Look at this picture. You see the grizzly bear waiting to jump me at the surface of the mini pool?
I just entered the formal City of Vilcabamba inside the Mountain Caves (I don't know if this place is fictional...) and as I was inspecting some huts, some big door opened and out came this big monster! What's worse is he was making these spine-tingling, growling noises (I really am gonna die if I ever meet one someday!), and he's a fast runner! Then I shot him, one, two, three times while running, and the next thing I knew, I fell into the water! I thought he was going in as well, but I guess he wasn't programmed for that. :))
This picture still cracks me up! he's trying to reach me with his (gigantic) paws....
Current progress: Still in the water. :( I can't climb out. Or maybe I'm not supposed to. The edges are too high, so the next best thing would be to explore underwater and see if there's a secret passage. I'd hate to leave the bear though, haha.
