A cheap point and shoot camera is priceless when it comes to composing an illustration I found out today while working on thumbnails. I find it is best not to worry about the photo just get the poses. Most of the time I just need the general positioning not the actual perspective of the shot. All the life drawing in the past I have done has really been helping me interpolate how the pose would look at a different angle. It felt good to just get down and dirty and jump into the pose.
