Map-ka, please read the comments from the fray (following this article on slate). A cat in this culture is closely associated with female genitalia (think pussy-cat); and the shape of the cat on this logo also remotely resembles what it is associated with. At least in the minds of "one track minds". Exactly those of male pre-teens who will be staring at her chest, and who are, however less spoiled than you, still much more knowledgeable in what each pop-symbol may mean.

I knew that the answer will come from you (prishel poruchik...). I, however, encountered at least one person who thought that the cat in the logo remotely resembles male genitalia... go figure.

Now, in light of what you've said, what do I do with Sarah's "Hello, Kitty" t-shirt?
