so that's why everyone's so weird
I KNEW IT! there is a full moon approaching. this saturday, in fact. ever since i moved to philly, i've become more aware of how the full moon affects people's behavior. i guess i didn't notice it so much in chicago because i was working in theatre, and theatre people are a little bit strange all the time. but now that i'm in the semi-corporate world, it's a whole different story.
BUT tomorrow night i'll get to fly away and escape that semi-corporate world, if only for a weekend. if i don't come back from chicago on sunday with a little more meat on my bones and a lot fewer ulcers in my stomach, then there's only one option left . . .

so last night i had a very disturbing dream. i was in Iraq. and my friend Derick was there, too. and i think we were supposed to be fighting, but we weren't wearing army gear or anything. actually the more i think about it, i think we were probably POWs. because we were hanging out at this campsite with all these other Americans, and there was a huge sand storm, and there was hardly any food to eat, and it was an absolutely terrible place to be . . . yet for some reason, i still had my cell phone on me. so i called my mom (who knew Sprint PCS had towers in Iraq?) and tried to tell her everything was going to be okay, but she just kept crying and crying. and then i woke up and had to pee. so tell me, all you dream analysts out there, what does this mean?
