We've been playing Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning a lot lately. We're playing it on Xbox, so no pretty pictures. It's actually a lot longer than we thought. The husband is about 50 hours in and has yet to complete the game! That's pretty impressive.
He originally 'acquired' it on PC and it looked pretty, but it's more like the Fable series in that the camera is weird and it doesn't play like Skyrim (or games like it), so it's more suited to console ( at least, for us.) It doesn't look as pretty on Xbox, but we get achievements, so it evens out.
I kind of stopped playing Skyrim back in January simply because my brain went elsewhere and I didn't have the time. I have time now, but my brain is somewhere else. Skyrim is all-consuming and deeply involved... and my brain just can't center into that right now. So, I've been playing TS3 and working on
my prosperity style hood. I will eventually get back to Skyrim... I only made it through 50% of the damn game! I'm just so ADD right now that I can't focus... sigh.
I am going home for a week this Saturday, so excited! I can't wait. It's only been a few months since I've been home, but that was over Thanksgiving and we had to work Black Friday... so we were only there for three days. It will be nice to have a full week to spend with my family!
The husband keeps talking about getting a snowball mic and a gameplay recorder... I think he's gone mad. He wants us to do video game commentary, which we certainly could do... we make a good comedy pair. The bad part is, you'd have to bleep out 60-80% of everything I said! I am not kid friendly when I game. We'll see what happens...
