college log: day 3

College.  Yeah.  It's not really anything unexpected.  Apparently blasting Death Cab and laying a pack of Zebra Cakes just inside a friendly open door isn't an effective way of meeting people.  Who knew?  Not to worry though.  I have back up plans.  I've heard acting drunk can work and there's always just not giving a damn and talking to anyone you find.  The one person I've managed to meet introduced himself over the wall of a shower stall as I'm wet and sporting my nice black flip flops.  He offered me some Total cereal last night before bed.  I think we're best friends now.  You can't pass up someone named Vikram now can you?

I've been carrying around my ergonomic shoulder pack and a digital camera in an attempt to look more collegesque.  Somehow I've missed the numerous parties.  I can see why drinking is so popular here...it's nice to have something to blame for not knowing what's going on.  Tonight I'll try to infiltrate a group of people and poison them with my friendship.  Perhaps I'll tag along with Gabe.  It can't fail.

I'm afraid to eat.  I don't really know where or how to use my meal card so I've been living off free food and my vast cache of Zebra Cakes.  This morning I walked a mile and went to a meeting for a Direct Admit group I'm not in.  I told them I was on the list and while they were confusedly looking for my "misplaced" name I stole a donut and some orange juice and slipped out the back door.  I'm going to do this everyday.
