I do understand. I grew up in the church and was in line to be a minister at one point in my life. I highly doubt that there is anything you could possibly have said that would be new news to me.
I think one of the big problems with Christians is their holier than thou I pity you attitude that they feel they are required to force on everyone else. I neither want nor require your pity. I didn't ask you to come into my space and start preaching to me. It's folks with that attitude that feel they have to force their morality into law. I am kind of shocked you can reconcile being friends with someone who is openly homosexual, but maybe you pity him as well. I guess you are in that only certain parts of the Bible are relevant camp though.
I feel bad for any Christian who feels the need to judge others that they know nothing about. There is nothing about you or your religion that make you superior to me. If you want to pity me great, feel free. You can also feel free to keep your pity to yourself.
Just so you know....maybe the word is "sad", not "pity". It saddens me to see that kind of picture being displayed.
Nope, I'm not preaching to you nor am I trying to "force" my beliefs on you or anyone else. Wow, talk about judgment! Seems like I'm being judged quite harshly by you. Why would you be shocked to see that I have befriended a gay gentleman? Because I am a Christian, I'm not supposed to relate to such a person? If you were in line to be a minister, then you should know what Jesus said. We are never to judge anyone, so I apologize to you if I came off judging you. That wasn't my intention. Not at all. The picture caught me off guard and made me sick to my stomach. Christ went through enough pursecution; to see that picture just sadden me to tears.
OK...now I will hold out a friendship branch to you that you would kindly accept my apology for offending you in anyway. I never meant to hurt you or upset you - I'm not about that. And, I'm definately not "holier than thou". I'll never, ever be perfect and I don't try to be. I have many, many faults my dear. Being a Christian doesn't come without a price. I'm a sinner, too and will always be. I just try to walk the best walk possible. But, I stumble like every other human on this planet.
You're the one who came into someone else's personal journal and called him sick and twisted based on what he posted in his - again - personal journal. That's not only judgmental, it's appallingly poor etiquette.
Merry Christmas!

He can make the final judgment call.

Notice I said forgive her, and not be crucified by your people.

Yeah, y'all just remember to step careful, especially in the middle of our holiday celebrating guerrilla warfare and kicking asses!

I am pretty sure my types were crucified just for being smart asses or on general principle.
The whole, I don't know what you did, but you did something justification.
