Merlin. In the times of... whatever, man.

Things wot I have learned from Love in the Time of Cholera Manticores Dragons.

1. Gaius has issues of the moral variety. Which I knew already, but when you need to lie and lie and lie some more even though you still ended up cracking at the first prodding from the person you knew perfectly well could be trusted from the go, you know something's terribly wrong.

2. Arthur's trying to bond with Merlin. Like men Knights do. This explains some of it, but it excuses none. Whatsoever, show. Maybe now that he's been appraised of Merlin's POV he'll tone it down a bit? I did, however, appreciate how he was actually interested in whatever it was that was bothering Merlin and even offered some advice from personal experience in totally good faith. And then there were punches.

3. GAIUS: It wasn't your choice to make.
ME: YAH, YOU'RE ONE TO TALK, BUDDIE. How about it wasn't YOUR choice to make to keep Morgana in the dark about her magic. How about it wasn't YOUR choice to make to have Merlin keep his own magic secret from her? How about that?

4. Colin Morgan and his acting chops continue to be very dear to me, even if sometimes I really wanna smack Merlin in the center of the head. He was in very good form this episode, selling the happiness, the compassion, the sadness, the disappointment. SO DEAR.

5. Camelot's walls are very, very thick. There is shouting in foreign languages, snarling creatures of unknown origen that have no business being in a physician's rooms, explosions of loud magnitudes and no one hears a thing.

6. Yes, Merlin. I too want to sink Uther's nose back into his brain with extreme prejudice and painful means. That disgusted look Merlin gives him after after he's condemned Alice to death because THERE IS NO CIRCUMSTANCE IN WHICH THE USE OF MAGIC COULD BE EXCUSED, LIKE SAY, SAVING YOUR ILLEGITIMATE DAUGHTER, was seriously, seriously well deserved.

Man, the lying liar who lies and the ultimate cruel, tyrant hypocrite to end all cruel tyrant hypocrites are supposed to be these kids role models? I'm surprised their fucked-upness is so mild.

7. WOMENZ cannot wield magic for they are too weak to handle it, or they are too silly to see they are not men almighty and thus have limitations. Which they do have because they're women. And if they are able to harness their magic and make use of it, they are downright ebil and should be vilified. Either you're a victim or a witch shrew, ambitious, overreacher.

Thank god for Gwen.

8. MERLIN: The dungeons are so secure.
ME: *__*

9. Next week cannot come soon enough. I AM ALREADY LOOSING MY SHIT AND IT'S NOT EVEN SUNDAY.

In conclusion: CAN I HAS NEXT WEEK NAO, PLZ?

Fandom, we need to stage a moral support group for those of us ::coughmecough:: who can already see themselves loosing their hair and biting their nails to the darn quick in anticipation.

mr universe, huh, we will not grow old
