Ah home, how do I hate it at times. More correctly, I like home, as far as my actual place of residence is concerned. It's the bits that surround it that tend to drive me directly up a wall, and that's on a normal day. Now I'm in that lovely mental state for which I have adopted the term "the fog of war", yes I stole it from various RTS type

HA! I didn't need to go to Pennsic...I could have just read your post! I didn't want to leave Wednesday, but living close (relatively speaking) has it's good and bad points. Good points amount to I can get there with minimal effort...bad points, well, I can leave pretty easily and so with small provocation I disappear...i.e. the thought of mundane shit floating around and needing to be flushed (hrm..shouldn't carry metaphors that far)... Good war though..glad we got a chance to hang out. I want to get in on those starcraft games too!

Um.. I think you got a bit of misinformation... Pennsic troll opens at noon the friday before the start, this year that was the 6th and then stays open 24 hours till they shut it down... D and I checked in at 1:30am Saturday morning... so if had the desire to drive straight through you could have... personally I think having a rest before setting up the tent etc. is nice after the long drive anyway... so it was probably the best way to go. I do believe next Pennsic will be from the 5th (Friday) until the 21st (Sunday) but don't quote me on that.

oh... yes forgot to say you guys are welcome anytime... really... I'd prefer warning so I can clean up but you don't have to if you just wanna take a spontaneous trip... Heck if we could get a good long weekend or something I'd be up for the drive there... 10 hours is only 2 hours longer then my visiting my folks and I've done that for just a normal weekend.. Maybe I can convince Dennis to try a long trip on the bike even... but I'm insane and we all know it!!

Hehe.. as random as I (and by I, I mean we) can be at times, I doubt there will be any random droppings in without warning. I'm not entirely sure when we'd be able to do it since I accumulate sick time incredibly slowly, and I burn off most of my vacation for pennsic, but strolling over for a day or two does sound nice. Once a year just ain't enough for seein' friends abroad, and just generally getting our proverbial travel on. An added bonus to the whole visiting when it's not pennsic season would be we wouldn't have to agonize over packing lists and situating... just grab clothes and maintainence stuff, then hit the road. Yeeeeees... it bubbles in my brain like so many mad scientist's beakers.

we could always randomly take a map draw a line connecting your place and ours and pick a town someplace in the middle to decend screaming upon the unsuspecting populance like the hosts of Hell... and then have a great time and whatever... just a thought... I'm up for a road trip, I need one actually. I want to get away to someplace that isn't here, where there are people who actually seem to understand the warped and twisted method my thought proceeses undergo... and we can pack up the PC's and the extra router/hub thighy and have a huge LAN party or something else... I've even actually looked at plane tickets prices. I need to do something... I need time away... yes... oh well... laters
