Poems

And, I'm sorry if I didn't post/comment and the likes. I'm tired. I'm going to post these poems, and then watch a movie, take a bath, all that jazz.

Edge of the World
Let's race those
Clouds, as they race
The sun,
Heading towards the
Edge of the world

The darkness is creeping
On us, and the headlights
Shine on the darkened
Road as we fly
Down, free

The grain elevator is
Shining, illuminated
We soar past,
Dreams packed in the
Trunk,
Hope lending speed
To the wheels

And the second one...

If Just For The Night
We're riding down the highway
Hundred miles an hour
If it's just for the night
I'm happy with that

Nothing but our clothes
And the feel of the
Speed beneath us

Let's leave this small town
Forget our past
We're new people
If just for the night

Let's see how far
This tank of gas'll
Get us

Don't check the map
We'll go where we wish,
Make our own decisions
If just for the night

Hold my hand,
Crank the music
Let it seep through the
Speakers

Those country tunes
We grew up with,
Sing our hears out
If just for the night
