“You’re sure you want to do this?” asked Agasa doubtfully.  “Ai thinks you’re completely insane.”

Conan sighed, running his fingers through his recently-dyed hair.  “Ever since we found out about how the Black Organization keeps its members’ kids in little enclaves for training, it’s been an obvious back door in,” he pointed out.  “I take the place of Oozou’s kid, newly arrived from Hokkaido-“ (He glanced at the arrest records and their accompanying photos on the nearby table) “-the boy stays here in police custody with nobody the wiser, his father works a plea deal and stays in touch with his bosses at the right moments… and then I see what I can see.”  The boy’s face was tense with anticipation.

Agasa nodded; it was dangerous, it was a long shot, but without the glasses and with light auburn hair and a faint dusting of temporary freckles, there was no denying that the young detective looked very unlike himself and quite similar to the recently-reneging agent and his son, both in custody.  “There’s just one thing, though,” he added, unease underlying the words.

“What?”

“The offspring of Black Organization agents begin their training very early,” said the professor cautiously, “and this begins with the acquisition of a code name.  Unfortunately there just aren’t that many that are suited for young children, and the one that was chosen for your, ahh, assumed identity was…”  He winced.  “…well…”

Conan thought about it, and then he winced.  “Let’s hear it,” he said, squaring his shoulders in preparation.

“…how do you-that is, I mean-“

“AGASA.  Spill it!”

“I, ahh-very well.”  The professor shrugged.  “Shotglass.”

“What?”

"Shotglass.  Your code-name is Shotglass.”  The boy sputtered for several minutes at the indignity, and Agasa shrugged (though not without sympathy.)  “It could’ve been worse,” he added.

“How?  I mean, SHOTGLASS.”

“We acquired a list of the other available child code-names.  ‘Shotglass’ may lack dignity, but it’s certainly better than ‘Virgin Dacquiri’ or ‘Shirley Temple’.

There was a pause.

“Shotglass it is.  I like Shotglass.”
