Well, it's kind of a follow-up to "Reasons," though not the requested Hattori fic. Call this the "Therapy" series, since I'm exorcising some of my own demons here... This one is rather experimental in tone, so it may not be to everyone's tastes. I'll be interested to see the results ( Read more... )

I like that little whisper of a thought that says that if he can't quit, neither can Conan. Its such a human reaction.

I don't think I've ever mentioned that I adore your "Not Entirely Sane" icon.

That's... that's amazing and sad. It also makes me wonder about the fact that it's the Kid who seems to bring Kaito new friends, or at least new people that he wants to protect. He has Aoko as Kaito, but the Kid has Jii, Hakuba, Conan, the Shonen-tachi, Akako, and perhaps Hattori. When he gives up being the Kid will he have to give them up as well?
... and now I've given myself plunnies... <<
The idea that Kaito is just moving on because he can't do anything else is just perfect.

'Under the Moon', Volume 55 chapters 6-9, also known as Case Files 570-573.

Coincidentally enough, Volume 54 chapter 9 to Volume 55 chapter 2 (aka files 562-566), 'The High School Detective of the East' has a guest appearance of Hakuba, no Kaitou in sight. It's a Detective Koshien, a kind of match up between great High School Detectives. And personally, I'm starting to wonder if Hakuba's figured out who Conan is.

You know what? I *wish* Gosho'd fork over the rights to you. That way, your stuff'd be canon. And that's as high a compliment as I can imagine.
