"What do you want to be for Halloween, Ayumi-chan?"
"A vampire pirate fairy!"
"A.. what?"
"A vampire pirate fairy!"
"That's a very interesting idea, Ayumi-chan. How are you going to pull that off?"
"I'll wear the dress and hate from the Pink Punk Pirate, the wings from that fairy - or maybe it's a butterfly - costume, and some fake fangs like Genta-kun has!"
"My goodness, that's a very detailed costume. Are you sure that's what you want to be?"
"Uh-huh. You said I could be whatever I wanted to for Halloween."
"Alright, Ayumi-chan. Let's get your vampire pirate fairy costume."
"Thanks, Ran-neechan. You're the bestest."
"You're welcome, Ayumi-chan."

The fairy-winged girl grinned, exposing a pair of fangs, "Oh, us? We're the Shinigami that follow Edogawa-kun around. Much less paperwork that way."

Two people stood on a Tokyo skyscraper, gazing down the moonlit city.
After a small eternity, the male sighed, causing a hint of fangs to appear.
"Are you sure you wish to do this?" his female companion asked. "The way things are now..."
"The way things are now, I'm a constant threat to those around me, including both our spouses and children." The man's voice was deceptively calm, hiding his dispair. "It's what THEY want. For me to either be so desperate for a cure or so distraught over what I have to do to survive that I'm willing to let them use me."
At his words, the woman started, causing translucent wings to shimer in the moonlight before fading from sight again.
"Relax, Nakamori-san." The man glanced at the moon, before gazing at the woman. "I'm not in the habit of betraying friends."
The woman stared at the sleeping city below them. "I know. But, Toichi, do you know what you're asking? There's only one... permanent solution for vampirism."
"I know. And I also know that every great magic requires a price..."
The fairy sighed. "The price... the price is Kaito." She raised her hands to halt the vampire's response. "Not in the whole 'Fae steal children' way, either. Kaito... If we do this, Kaito will be Aoko's staunchest protector for the rest of his life."
"He'd do that anyway, I think." A moment of silence passed between them. "We have a deal, Fairy Queen Pandora."
The woman briefly shone red in the moonlight, as she began gathering her magic.
Several years later....
"Mom! Guess what! Kaito asked me to marry him!"
