An Unprofessional Opinion-- Kaitou Kid

May 26, 2007 06:49

Ah... yeah. Those of you who read a lot of my stuff know that psychology is my favorite thing, especially in fanfics. Several of my OC's are shrinks. :) So... I ask you. Does a psych profile of a fictional character, done by another fictional character, count as fanfiction? If not, I'll take it down... And Icka and a few others may recognize the ( Read more... )

*gives a low whistle* Wow. That's a very indepth - and acurate - character profile from a someone who's never meet Kid or Kaito.

If Kid/Kaito ever gets caught in one of your stories, Cade, Lita, or both are probably the best shrinks to actually work with him and make some headway. (Anyone who deals with Danny Phantom - and associated messes - or multiple Power Ranger groups - and everything those groups attract - would have the expirence to actualy understand where Kaitou/Kaito is coming from.)

Out of idle curiosity (and a certain amount of personal amusement), will the next conference both Cade and Hakuba attend just happen to be in Angel Grove? I'd imagine both Lita and Detective Park would have... interesting comments about Kid and the shrinks presenting. (Not to mention that the idea of a group of "arm-chair warriors" having to deal with Tengas, Putties, Cogs, Quantrons, Piranatrons, etc. is ironic enough to be enjoyable. IMO, of course.)

Excellent work.

... I think I love you and your stories. Waaaah...! *flails*

I love the in-depth look we get into things, especially from someone who's never met Kid or Kaito face-to-face and who profiles criminals. Very interesting, indeed. Most likely, he's able to think these things out and whatnot because he has that distance from the person he's studying--unlike Hakuba or Nakamori or heck, even Shinichi/Conan. They all meet with him, deal with him either in or out of the suit and are thus more likely to be influenced by his performance and that Poker Face he wears...

But eeeeeeeeeeeee! Your fics get me thinking so much XD I so totally read "Sympathy by Moonlight" yesterday and ahahaha... I so need to find your FF.N profile to find your other fics or something.

Uwaaaah. Can I refer to this little case-study if I feel stuck on something in one of my fics? :< Sogood~

Absolutely! My profile on FF.Net is "Ellen Brand." I've rarely been one for pen names. The DP story is Dejah Thoris of Mars, due to certain conditions in DP fandom...

EEEE! You're Ellen Brand? I really like your DP stories! (I also liked the Power Ranger and YGO fics, and I never liked either show.)

shiiiiiiineeeeeeeeeey. ♥♥♥

Thank you so much for managing to tidy together everything I had figured out/assumed into a neatly labeled and orderly little pile. I am so using this as a reference. (I'll even MLA it in the AN XD)

*clap* I was wondering when Cade would pop into your MK fiction. :3 I wonder if Hakuba will heed Cade's advice though?

Oh please do more involving Cade in the MK fandom. x3

This was remarkably well-written. E-mail fics require a certain conversational tone and smooth, good writing, and your fic delivered both. (And I loved the warnings.) Great job!

Btw, who's Cade? ^^*

Cade Maboroshi is the psychiatrist/school counselor in my Danny Phantom fics. He's a former criminal profiler, and has a history of encounters with the Wide World of Weird that started long before he reached Amity Park. :)

It's actually a reference to the "Amityville Horror" movie series. Very cheesy, especially given that the "true story" they were based on has pretty much been proven as a hoax concocted to try and get a guy off of a murder charge...
