Professor Dolohov! (with special guest Tracey Davis)

Nov 30, 2009 11:36

It was only his first semester of his second year at Painswick University, but Miles was already planning the rest of his education. He spent time nearly every day looking through the list of courses the school had to offer and filled in credits for each of his future semesters. Most importantly were his Healer Training courses.

He had been able to fit in the required Potions and Herbology classes, adding in his own electives for Defense Against the Dark Arts and Charms. However, there was one course that grabbed Miles' attention more than the others.

Legilimence - a cross-over class from Defense Against the Dark Arts that was offered for those in the Healing program. It was only for advanced students and even required a signed oath stating that any student in the class would not use the mind-reading technique for anything other than specific medical purposes. The thought alone was intriguing, and that isn't even a pun.

Miles signed on to the university's online network to check the course's requirements. Must hold at least 90 credits, meaning any student would have to be at least a fourth year. An asterik next to the requirement, however, caught his eye. Unless with special permission from the professor and/or department heads of student's major and DADA. He grinned to himself with a slight hope of taking the course early. His eyes continued skimming the page looking for a list of professors that teach the advanced course.

A. Dolohov was the only name given.

An hour later, Miles was making his way down the final corridor he needed to in order to find the professor. This was going to be awkward.

He heard voices in the office, so he knew that the man had to be in there, but just as Miles was about to knock he also heard a female laughing. His eyebrows furrowed together, recognizing the laugh. Tracey. Miles wasn't technically dating her, so he shouldn't be jealous of this. Then again, when did that ever stop him?

Miles finally knocked on the door after a moment's hesitation, already expecting both people he would see when the door opened.
