alright... let's begin with the absolute most important news of the day. Today's honoree for black history month is none other than ILLEANA BACON! Girlfriend, i know you dont read this but you hold such a special place in my heart. thanks for the great memories. too many to mention but i have to list a few of my favorite... brushing emily's nappy hair at band camp is my ATF... girl, you really knew your hair stuff. also, the time you beat Amy Doll's ass... what a stupid white girl. i also remember the time you accidentally walked into a pole that was holding up the walkway covering. another favorite was how you did roll call in band class each day ... Sarah Delleuw (pronounced "Del-a-woo")... Julie Xu (pronounced "Zoo")... and of course Bridget Walsh (pronounced "Bitch"). i dont blame you for never forgiving bridget... what a terrible thing she did to you! that's enough illie reminiscing, i got a little out of control there. and finally, i would like to formally apologize for accidentally ruining your weave in 8th grade ... it really upset me that you uninvited emily and me from your birthday party cuz of that but i totally understand. ALSO, you are the best backwards marching bass clarinet ever!!!!
this weekend has been great!!! i arrived in athens yesterday and emily and i immediately hit the tennis courts... we went 3 hours straight! whew! we started out extremely shitty, as it's been a while since we've played but we did show good improvement toward the end... unfortunately we were playing considerably better when it was dark and couldnt see the ball very well. today we played again for about 2 hours... emily was sore everywhere and i was also ready for a groin operation. the courts were full today... everyone there was asian except for me and em. we had an obscene amount of forced and unforced errors that sent our balls into other people's courts. the asian men on both side were MORE than happy to return the balls to emily... creepy. but i must say that i was rather attracted to one of them. maybe i am weird! anyway, we are getting much better at tennis and i feel myself really getting aggressive with my shots sometimes.
last night we really wanted to go drinking but unfortunately it didnt happen. i am happy to see emily's RA, jolee, and i hope emily gets to be an RA with her in brumby next year so that we can all hang out and cohabitate and things like that. speaking of which, emily had her RA interview today and it went beautifully.
i wanted to spend more time with other people but we had so many things to catch up on that it didn't happen and i had to go home earlier than expected to get some things straightened out for work... I WILL BE BACK though and i promise if you didnt get to see me this time, i will make plans in advance for next time
