So. This morning I finally got around to watching the twenty-second and last episode of the television series Flashforward. That show was made of awesome.
It was also canceled well before I watched that last episode.
Now, when the commissioned Flashforward, they planned only a single season. Plans for a second season only came up half-way through the show's run, by which time its view figures in the states had already plummeted. Yet they STILL went with a cliffhanger ending.
Dammit, that show was perfect and perfectly self-contained! It would have worked great as a single season show!
Now we never get to see half the questions answered. What happened to Mark Benford? Who was 'found' in Charlie's Flashforward - Mark or someone else? Does Demitri Noh get his fiancé Zoe back? Does Janice escape the clutches of Hellenger's organisation? And who are Hellenger and his backers, the global conspiracy that caused the blackout? What do they really want?
We'll never know. Bryce, Keiko and Nicole get resolution. Mark, Olivia, Lloyd, Janice, Simon, Stanford and even Hellenger himself get... cliffhangered.
Bah.
I should work on my first ever Writing Shadows post. See how many holes get torn in it. Stop hiding in my little box.
But first, I should get the hell up, have a cuppa and eat some food. I'm starving.
morning,
tv.
