I am not sure I posted this yet. I have done well these passed two years at work. And now, I am officially moving to QA - Quality Assurance. I am leaving my current role in tech support to move into product design. This came after a HUGE effort the passed two years, working my ass off and avoiding distractions. Grats to me ;) Yay! I start at the end of March, once I train my new hires.
So this is a totally new career path for me, with much more room between me and the ceiling. It is bottom level, but I don't just "have my foot in the door" - I am in. QA is a lucrative place. They "ask" for certain QA analysts to participate in projects. Your name carries your accomplishments and reputation. I have already shown the QA Leads for several products what I can do - and they are my in to all the fun stuff.
And a great big FUCK YOU (raises middle finger) to everyone expecting failure.
Don't doubt my abilities...
