I'm a wretched procrastinator, yes I am...

So, right, the majority of my moving has to be completed tomorrow morning and evening (partially to avoid the heat), and then again Sunday morning and evening (also to avoid the even worse heat), as I'm almost positive we'll be working a lot of overtime this week, in addition to what we're required to work next week. Whatever things are left to move that I won't get to personally, I still have to box up, label, organize, etc. so that my parents can swing by on their way home from work and grab the rest of it. But anyway, what am I doing now, instead of the much needed packing? I'm looking at home decorating sites and downloading mp3s. I'm such an idiot. I keep telling myself, ok, I'll get started at midnight--shouldn't take me more than four or five hours to do what needs to be done for Saturday, but why am I even leaving it this late? Thankfully, I'm fully aware of this quirk of mine, so I'm always able to prepare for it--I've mastered the art of getting things done under a ton of pressure and in as little time as I usually leave myself. Good thing I work well under pressure...

It didn't help that I took a two and a half hour nap when I got home from work this evening. -.-

Things to do, aside from packing:
1) Set up date to cancel utilities.
2) Arrange for cable company to come out and pick up the modem and receiver,
3) CLose out PO Box and set up temp mail forwarding.
4) Deep clean apartment.
5) Finish painting new living space, so the rest of the furniture can be moved into the rooms.

Looking at it, it isn't that bad of a list. What makes it such a bitch is that I simply do not have the extra time to do any of these things either this week or the next--unless I do them all this weekend and Monday morning (I close Monday night). Canceling the utilities is nothing, since I just have to make the phone calls, but arranging for the hardware to be picked up will be a hassle. I have two days where I will be home during one of their allocated shifts (they have two options: 8-12 or 1-5, and I'll need to take the 8-12 and pray they aren't running late so I can make it to work by 1pm; you have to be there for the entire four hours, as they cannot give you an exact time they will be there, and they won't enter the residence or take the equipment unless you're there), and there's no guarantee that they'll have openings on either of those days. I should be able to call and firm up a date tomorrow, since their offices are open all day Saturday, so my fingers are crossed that we can arrange something for this week.

Bleh. Like I said, I hate the tedium of moving. The actual moving? Not an issue at all...

Now, off to pack up books, DVDs, movies, magazines, art supplies, kitchen supplies, bathroom supplies, and clothes...
