Reality is far different from perception
So I made the call today, and while it wasn't totally great, it went better than I thought it'd be. John and I were fairly civil to each other, and I managed to tell him my complaints without completely flying off the handle. He agreed to leave the racks where I could get them when I came in, however he dodged the whole issue of bailing an hour early and tried to pass it off as being the bakers fault. As it was, I didn't really feel like pressing the issue, mostly because I was still in the process of waking up, and also everything that I was feeling last night had disappeared. That's what a good night's sleep will do to you, I guess (even though mine wasn't that good or long). Anyhow, what's done is done, and unless John does something to warrant it, I'm not going to say or do anything else. Besides, I have a reason to be glad about coming to work today. Today's the 5th, and that means payday. I should have a nice check coming my way, as not only did I manage to get some overtime in, but I also got a raise to $7.50 not too long ago. God knows it'll be good to deposit that thing and watch my account jump up again.
